Who’s your favorite repair center? Mission Repair is!

February 20, 2013

Hi there everyone. We’re bracing for the snow that’s about to fall. We are expecting 6-10 inches over the next 24 hours and that’s enough to get some people riled up. Not us, we are holding on like troopers and we will be open and repairing tomorrow (unless we can’t get to work that is). Wish us luck!

I have a feeling that our normal 9 am deliveries from FedEx might be a little late, so this will give us a chance to blog about the 15 new services that we added this week.

What a beautiful device. When the screen isn't cracked!

What a beautiful device. When the screen isn’t cracked!

I’m ready to share one of them right now! We are now repairing the Samsung Galaxy Note II (Verizon Version) at Mission Repair, and we have glass panels in stock ready for installation. That’s right, we can fix the Galaxy Note II glass if it’s cracked on your unit!

There’s no reason to live with it like that. We have the expertise and parts in stock (not to mention the best price anywhere) for the repair, so never fear – we can get it done tomorrow!

Unless we are snowed out of the office that is ;-)

Well, you’ll hear from us one way or the other about the impending snow storm, but since most of us have 4 wheel drive vehicles in the Kansas City area, driving in snow isn’t new to us. We’ll be back soon!!

Have a good night, Ryan

Samsung Jitterbug Repair!

February 8, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

We have a very interesting service to talk about today. It’s not often that we offer flip phone services due to the growing popularity of the smartphone, but this is different. This is the Jitterbug!

I know what you are going to say, “Isn’t the jitterbug a dance?” Well yes it is, but it is also a very simple and popular cell phone. When I say simple, I mean SIMPLE! No camera, no browser, no kitchen sink… It is just a phone.

Jitterbug repair, broken sasmung screen

But don’t take my emphasis on the word simple as a bad thing. This phone is great for those folks who just want to use a phone as it was originally intended by Alexander Graham Bell, to TALK on. The best feature of this phone is the dial tone you get when you flip it open. It also has a press “0″ for an operator option. These are long forgotten about features and I love that someone if keeping them alive.

So why service these? Because you have asked for it! We have had many people in need of this service and who are we to deny? So starting today, we are offering the Samsung Jitterbug A310 LCD Screen Repair at a sickening low price of $59.00 :-) ! This service will replace the front view and main LCDs screens.

This kind of news deserves a jitterbug (the dance) don’t you think? I’ll try to get a video of Ryan preforming this dance for you. It might take a few hours and a couple of bottles, but I think I will be successful!

Cheers, Troy

Oh, The Weather Outside Is…Not So Frightful?

January 28, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

We are having some interesting weather in Kansas City during the month of January. We finally had our first snow of the winter, the have experienced well below zero temperatures (which is not at all uncommon) and today, it is sunny with the high of 69-72 degrees.

Now, I have lived in this area for most of my life and this has got me scratching my head. Kansas and Missouri are known for their extreme temperatures in either direction, but this is just crazy. I guess we will enjoy it while we can… I hear there is also snow in the forecast for this week!

I could get used to this!

We are going to have a pretty eventful week here at Mission Repair. With some new service additions and programs that we have taken on, It is going to be Superbowl Sunday before we know it. Time truly flies when you are up to your eye balls in projects to work on. Don’t worry, we won’t let these deter us from coming back here on a daily basis to talk to our favorite people, The M:R Nation!

So watch out this week for specials, discounts and new services pertaining to everything Apple, Samsung, Amazon , HTC and much more.

Cheers, Troy

The 5 Stages Of Repair

January 15, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

People that drop and damage their iPhone, iPad, Smartphone or any other handheld device go through different stages of emotions/actions. This happens every time and maybe without you even knowing it. We are going to talk about the 5 different stages and hopefully bring some counseling to those of you who are going through it at this very moment and advice to those that have yet to experience this unfortunate yet inevitable tragedy of a broken device.

Shock – The first stage of this whole experience is shock. You just spent hundreds of dollars on this brand new piece of technology that you have saved up for months to buy. The moment you dropped your Samsung Galaxy S III, time slowed to 1 frame per second. You saw it falling inch by inch, but there was nothing you could do to stop it. Landing face down on the concert, there is a slight gleamer of hope that the worst did not occur. You pick it up and its shattered along with your psyche. Advice - Keep calm. Breath. Relax. As Harper Lee says “Things are never as bad as they seem”

Grief - Your iPhone 4S is with you 24-7/365. It is no wonder that we get so attached. Your entire life is on this piece of plastic/glass/metal contraption. It is as much as a family member as the dog to some, so its understandable to become saddened at the state of your broken screen. This stage could last for quite awhile if you don’t know what to do next. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax. “All things grow with time — except grief”. This unfortunately includes a hairline crack in glass. :-(

Anger – This is the the most expected and perhaps the lengthiest stage of all. Its easy to be mad. Mad at yourself, mad at your friend or your dog for damaging your precious iPad. It is important to not incur further damage to your iPad or friendship/companionship for that matter. Things are things and can be repaired easily. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax. As Ben Franklin once said ”Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.”

Acceptance - Once you reach this point, you are almost in the clear. You have recovered from the shock, you have wiped all of the tears away and mended your friendships. This is what I like to call the action step. You decide what you are going to do with this useful, yet crippled iPod Touch. You could just deal with it? You could buy a brand new one? You will start researching and find out what the most cost effective way to rectify this situation. You might run into bumps along the way. FYI: The support from the carrier and/or manufacturer will usually be little to none. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax.”Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.” -Eckhart Tolle

Mission Repair This is the completion stage. We have come along way since that shocking mishap. You are just inches away from the finish line. You have chosen a great repair center to entrust your device to and they will repair it CORRECTLY and quickly. Not only are their prices the best in the country. The amount of support they offer before, during and after the repair process is unprecedented. They have a full staff just to field any questions you might have before you order the repair service. An awesome technical department that will treat your device with the upmost care and a program called “Got Repair” for the needed support and any accidents you might have after your initial repair service.Advice – Celebrate. Get Excited. Know you are in good hands.

“You have just made an intelligent choice. Cheers!”

-Troy Harris
