Congratulations Graduates, coupon inside!

May 22, 2013

Good afternoon everyone,

I was just talking with my wife Dandra this weekend and we both realized that this is the first year that we didn’t get invited to a graduation ceremony. In fact, it looks like we will have a reprieve next year as well, but my son Casey will be graduating in 2015 so he’s next on the list!

Graduation Time!

This is a fun time for those kids that are finishing up their school commitments and moving into college. Or even more rewarding for those students that are finishing college and graduating – that’s a show stopper as well. Time to celebrate!

Well, we here at Mission Repair can’t be there physically to party with you if you’re graduating this year, but we can give you a special treat if you find yourself in need of an iPhone, iPod or Tablet repair. Even think about your laptop computer…does it need service? Well we’re giving a 13% off coupon to all that begins today and lasts through May 31, 2013. 13% off in honor of the class of 2013!! I tried to give everyone 2013% off but my system wouldn’t take it for some reason ;-) USE COUPON CODE “GRADS” TO RECEIVE YOUR DISCOUNT.

Again if you’re a graduate or know a graduate; congratulations and we recognize all of the hard work that goes into an individual’s education. Job well done. Have a great May!

It feels like vacation time around here!

May 22, 2013

Hello everyone,

It’s the last week of school for the kids around the Kansas City area, and my son Casey is happy to report that he will be home early the next few days because he had the option to “opt out” of a few final exams this week. He’s a sophomore in high school.

optout

What is this “opting out” business? When I was in high school we had to take our finals. There were no free passes. It’s an interesting notion that would have made the remaining days of my high school years much more fun, don’t you agree?

Scenario:

“It’s finals week. Do you want to study with me?”

“No, I’m opting to not take my finals this year.”

That would have never worked at Independence High School back in the 80′s ;-)

Well the times are changing, but it still definitely feels like summer vacation is approaching us. We have a few family plans and hopefully I can get my entire clan together and take a few camping trips as a group or get away to a destination somewhere…but the problem is that “dad” (that’s me) doesn’t get to take the summer off. I merely have to bask and live vicariously through those of you that do.

Ah well, I’ll be right here at Mission Repair planning my next vacation. Where are you going this year, and have you started packing?

Have a great day, Ryan

Want to know the secrets behind Mission Repair? Read the book!

May 21, 2013

Well hello friends,

It is somewhat of a relief and I’m excited to say that my book that I started last year is finally in print! I received the very first copy in the mail and it looks fantastic (if I do say so for myself) ;-)

I’m trying not to brag too much, please understand that this has been a work of passion of uncounted long nights and weekends of typing. Since this is my first book, and my first publish piece of work, it’s been both exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. There’s a certain level of pressure inherent when working with a publisher…and it’s finally done!

My editor emailed me yesterday to say that the book is in production and should hit the shelves and on Amazon within a month. You can preorder a copy of it here!

I want to warn you…it’s not a “get rich quick” book. I’m neither rich, nor was my journey at Mission Repair quick ;-) It will however give you some insight on how to start a Computer Repair business and gives many accounts and personal experiences along the way. I talk about startup costs, how to work from home, how to make the move into a commercial space and how to hire employees.

Not only that, it will give you ideas on how to make your website successful if you’re running an online business.

Shortly, we will sell copies in our showroom and if you should have any questions about me, the book, or the contents of the book, just give me a call at Mission Repair! 866-638-8402. Or simply listen to the radio in the next month; I already have 6 interviews to promote the book on radio station all over the country. It’s an exciting time!

OK, I can now start to enjoy my weekends again. I’ve already been asked to write another book…but I think I’ll take a couple of months off for now. I need to give my keyboard a rest!

Take care everyone, thanks for joining me today.

iPad Mini screen repairs, not just a fairy tale.

May 14, 2013

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since we’ve talked!

You know that Mission Repair is synonymous with electronic repairs, specifically consumer electronics that are hand-held, popular, and part of our lives. Like Apple products! If you know anything about me, then you know that I’m an Apple fanatic and love using my Apple products on a daily basis. In fact, I haven’t pulled the trigger and purchased an iPad mini yet…I bet if I bought one for my wife I might get to use it once in a while around the house ;-)

That brings me to my next topic – iPad Mini glass repairs. You’ll notice that there aren’t a ton of repair shops performing these repairs – but Mission Repair does. What’s the story?

“The Hero That Could Be”

Screen Shot 2013-05-14 at 1.29.43 PM

Once upon a time, there was an electronics repair center, Mission Repair in the Kansas City area. They serviced units across the entire USA and performed repairs on iPods, iPads, Computers and Smartphones within 24 hours. Sometimes they even would fix devices while customers waited in their lobby.

One day the iPad Mini was released and to everyone’s surprise on the very next day, Mission Repair received a broken iPad Mini at their location for repair. They knew that this was their chance to make someone happy. So they went to work and developed a brand new procedure to perform these repairs quickly and inexpensively for all the world’s customers.

To this day, Mission Repair is setting the standard on iPad Mini glass repair and many of the other repair centers are sending units to them for service. Customers from all corners of the globe are reaching to Mission Repair for help, and they are willing to assist anyone in need.

Everyone lived happily ever after.

These repairs aren’t a fairy tale. This story is true and will last right here on the Mission Repair blog for generations to come.

Ok, I’m just trying to have a little fun today so what’s the big deal? Well it’s quite simple. These repairs are not easy and take a significant amount of skill to solder a component onto a fragile cable that’s attached to the digitizer on the new glass. Not every repair shop in the industry can perform this repair with accuracy. Of course, Mission Repair can.

The iPad mini was announced in October of 2012, and to date we have nearly 1,000 of these repairs performed successfully. You can count on Mission Repair to be there for you.

So how about a bit of a kicker? Use coupon code “fairytale” to receive $20 off your next iPad mini glass repair. This special is good through 5/31/13 so act fast!

Best, Ryan

Weekends are busy at Mission Repair. Perfect!

April 8, 2013

Hello everyone,

We had another “first” at Mission Repair this weekend, albeit it’s not that significant on it’s own…but we had more walk-in repairs on Sunday that we did on Saturday.

Open7Days_large-300x214

To most, that news is not earth shattering or possibly not even noteworthy. It’s certainly more of an internal piece of interest as it allows us to adjust our operating coverages and employee schedules. When I visit the business on the weekends (OK, I admit it I don’t typically work the weekend schedule) to see a line of customers coming out of the front door waiting to get in, I know that it’s time to beef up the coverage ;-)

The bottom line is that we’re here for you. Even if you not one of our local walk in customers, you can still reach us on the weekends for status, to place orders or to simply chat about your broken device. We’re happy to try to help out in any way we can, and you can count on us to be available when you need us.

Does this mean that we’re going to be expanding our normal operating hours in the future? I wouldn’t bet against it! Plans are in the works now to be open later into the evenings during the week. Hey, we’re getting there, stay tuned for new business hours coming soon!

Take care, Ryan
