My Macbook Air Screen Repair!

Hello M:R Nation -

What you see here is my very own Macbook Air. Yes, it now has a cracked screen and yes, I am now sick to my stomach. Honestly, a tiny part of me really believed that I would never see this day, but alas, this day has come. Overconfidence is no friend of mine.

Now that I have confirmed that I am not immune to dropping my computer, I think back to all of the times that I have written about our Macbook Air services. I now have a better understanding of what my readers were thinking when choosing us to repair their beloved computer and I finally get a chance to use our services from the outside looking in.

Of course, I could just walk up to Justin(our senior laptop technician) and ask him politely to repair my computer, but I am going to do this the real way. I will place my order online using the very link that I give out on this blog multiple times a month: Glossy 13″ MacBook Air LCD Screen Repair . I will take my computer home, wait for my box to arrive and I will ship it in like any normal customer.

Why do it this way? Because I think it will help identify any issues we might have with our overall repair process. While the process is spot on at the moment, we can never be too sure of ourselves and become complacent. So lets just call this a way of fine tuning this process. The best part, I am not going to tell any of our staff about it face to face. If they don’t read this post, they will never know its me ;-) . Wish me luck!

A little Glitch

Hello M:R Nation -

Yesterday we had a tiny glitch with Missionrepair.com that had a not so tiny effect. We were shut down for nearly 2 hours and working hard to get it back up and running. This glitch also derailed our wonderful blog as well. We found and corrected the issues and we are back to 100% now!

iPad Mini Has Arrived!

Hello Again M:R Nation -

Well, the big day has arrived! My new iPad Mini has been delivered and I gotta tell ya, I’m in love! It fits my hand perfectly. The HD face time camera is about 1,000,000 times better than any iOS device that I have owned and the screen is out of this world!

With the size of the iPad Mini, I think I could use it just about anywhere. I envision myself using it around the office quite often, I know I will use it at home (namely as an alarm clock) and it will be perfect to take on trips and not have to lug around that bulky 11″ Macbook Air :-)

So take it from a seasoned vet (when it comes to owing Apple products) you want to own this. If you are more of a kindle person, I can understand that, but you should just download the kindle app and go with the iPad Mini :-)

I will use this over the weekend and give you a small update on how the first 72 hours went with it. Hopefully the next 70 are as good as the last 2!

The first service is a full MacBook Air LCD Screen replacement that utilizes a Matte (Anti-Glare) coating. This is very useful when sitting outside or in a room with bright lighting. We have found it very helpful with finger prints as well. Now it’s not finger print resistant by any means, but it doesn’t seem to pick up as many as it’s glossy counter part.

This blog post is all about the new 13″ MacBook Air and our warning to “HOLD ON TIGHT!”

We know that accidents happen, and if you should crack the screen on your favorite little computer the world doesn’t come to a halt – it may slow a little – but we at Mission Repair will get you fixed right up.

Just like the new 11″ MacBook Air computers, these screens are a bit tricky to replace. There are some companies out there that will swap the entire top lid for you, and charge you an arm and a leg for it. If you have us perform the repair, not only will we allow you to keep all of your appendages ;-) but we’ll also only sell you the parts you need – not a “swap” where you get charged hundreds of dollars more and you have to buy cables, boards and case parts that are simply NOT NECESSARY.

We will disassemble your screen in a clean room environment, replace the shattered LCD screen, and reassemble the top. You save BIG BUCKS with our method and you get the SAME END RESULT.
