Hello M:R Nation -
We are having some interesting weather in Kansas City during the month of January. We finally had our first snow of the winter, the have experienced well below zero temperatures (which is not at all uncommon) and today, it is sunny with the high of 69-72 degrees.
Now, I have lived in this area for most of my life and this has got me scratching my head. Kansas and Missouri are known for their extreme temperatures in either direction, but this is just crazy. I guess we will enjoy it while we can… I hear there is also snow in the forecast for this week!

I could get used to this!
We are going to have a pretty eventful week here at Mission Repair. With some new service additions and programs that we have taken on, It is going to be Superbowl Sunday before we know it. Time truly flies when you are up to your eye balls in projects to work on. Don’t worry, we won’t let these deter us from coming back here on a daily basis to talk to our favorite people, The M:R Nation!
So watch out this week for specials, discounts and new services pertaining to everything Apple, Samsung, Amazon , HTC and much more.
Cheers, Troy

Hello M:R Nation -
People that drop and damage their iPhone, iPad, Smartphone or any other handheld device go through different stages of emotions/actions. This happens every time and maybe without you even knowing it. We are going to talk about the 5 different stages and hopefully bring some counseling to those of you who are going through it at this very moment and advice to those that have yet to experience this unfortunate yet inevitable tragedy of a broken device.
Shock – The first stage of this whole experience is shock. You just spent hundreds of dollars on this brand new piece of technology that you have saved up for months to buy. The moment you dropped your Samsung Galaxy S III, time slowed to 1 frame per second. You saw it falling inch by inch, but there was nothing you could do to stop it. Landing face down on the concert, there is a slight gleamer of hope that the worst did not occur. You pick it up and its shattered along with your psyche. Advice - Keep calm. Breath. Relax. As Harper Lee says “Things are never as bad as they seem”
Grief - Your iPhone 4S is with you 24-7/365. It is no wonder that we get so attached. Your entire life is on this piece of plastic/glass/metal contraption. It is as much as a family member as the dog to some, so its understandable to become saddened at the state of your broken screen. This stage could last for quite awhile if you don’t know what to do next. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax. “All things grow with time — except grief”. This unfortunately includes a hairline crack in glass.
Anger – This is the the most expected and perhaps the lengthiest stage of all. Its easy to be mad. Mad at yourself, mad at your friend or your dog for damaging your precious iPad. It is important to not incur further damage to your iPad or friendship/companionship for that matter. Things are things and can be repaired easily. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax. As Ben Franklin once said ”Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.”
Acceptance - Once you reach this point, you are almost in the clear. You have recovered from the shock, you have wiped all of the tears away and mended your friendships. This is what I like to call the action step. You decide what you are going to do with this useful, yet crippled iPod Touch. You could just deal with it? You could buy a brand new one? You will start researching and find out what the most cost effective way to rectify this situation. You might run into bumps along the way. FYI: The support from the carrier and/or manufacturer will usually be little to none. Advice- Keep calm. Breath. Relax.”Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.” -Eckhart Tolle
Mission Repair - This is the completion stage. We have come along way since that shocking mishap. You are just inches away from the finish line. You have chosen a great repair center to entrust your device to and they will repair it CORRECTLY and quickly. Not only are their prices the best in the country. The amount of support they offer before, during and after the repair process is unprecedented. They have a full staff just to field any questions you might have before you order the repair service. An awesome technical department that will treat your device with the upmost care and a program called “Got Repair” for the needed support and any accidents you might have after your initial repair service.Advice – Celebrate. Get Excited. Know you are in good hands.
“You have just made an intelligent choice. Cheers!”

Hello M:R Nation -
I have a few blokes here at Mission Repair that were talking about participating in “No Shave November”. The main reason for this is to raise awareness for men’s health, but there have been many tales of its origins. I myself, think its simply an excuse to be lazy and I embrace that!
I have a total of 8 gents that I will be chronicling for the next 4 weeks. I will take a picture of their progress once a week and post it right here on our wonderful blog!

Say Hi to Jake, David, nick, Ryan, Albert, Phil, Justin and Lennie!
So here they are, the 8 brave/lazy souls participating in this storied tradition(I’ll spare you and them of a large sized picture )! As you can see, some of them already have a head start. This should make for some epic beardness for sure! While I sport quite the fancy beard myself, I am not 100% sure that I will let it grow rugged yet. I will keep you updated on that decision.
We like to turn things into a competition around here and this is going to be no different. While I have no idea on how I will decide the winner yet, I do know the prize. I find it a much needed prize to be handed out in this situation. It is a years subscription to the Dollar Shave Club paid for by Mission Repair! I love this company and am a proud member so I can vouch for the prize!
I would like to make this something our readers can benefit from as well, I will also provide a years subscription to the most Epic beard or other hair growth (I know it sounds nasty, but we are about equality here at MR, so men and woman are welcome to join but keep it PG) to one of our brave/lazy readers
!
To join the competition, you will need to send in 4 different pictures to troy@missionrepair.com titled NSN Entry and here is what I will need from you:
1) Starting Point Picture
2) Week 2 growth
3) Week 3 growth
4) Final Week growth
By joining the competition, you agree to have your picture posted here on the MR Blog if you are named the winner. Happy November to everyone and good luck on those beards!
please note: This competition in no way, shape or form will interfere with our awesome iPhone, iPod, iPad, Smartphone, tablet, Mac or PC repair services !
Cheers, Troy

September 4, 2012
Good morning everyone, we’ve got our working caps back on and we’re back in the groove here at Mission Repair. We all took a much needed day off yesterday but that always puts us in a bind because we’ve got to speed up production to make up for lost time. Sometimes I wonder if it makes sense to ever actually take a day off!
How was your weekend? I’m going to share a personal tidbit which may or may not interest you. . .but I adopted another dog this weekend. Shadow came home to us on Friday night, so it’s been a pretty fun weekend nevertheless

Shadow is a rescued dog from an abusing family. In fact, the official report is that he was beaten with logging chains for a year until someone finally turned in his previous owner. He was on the docket to be destroyed. . .until a local German Shepherd Rescue team swooped in and brought him in. He’s from Pennsylvania, moved to a foster home for a month, then moved again to our house here in Kansas.
We’re going to fix him up and give him a loving home. This guy is super smart and is a soldier – he’s tough as nails but is a lovable goof ball at the same time. This entire weekend he stayed right next to me and I’ve taught him to “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and to “shake” on demand. Once I get him to repair an iPhone, I’ll know he’s something special.
Actually he is something special and I feel great being able to give him a good home. If you’d like to learn more about the rescue team that saved Shadow or if you’re interested in helping out, check out their website here. Careful, you may come home with a new puppy
OK I’m going to check in with our sales department and I’ll be back soon with more good Mission Repair information!
Take care, Ryan
