Price Drop: iPhone Screen Repairs!

Hello M:R Nation -

Last week, I mentioned some things will be changing at Mission Repair! Today is the right day to announce the next set of changed. This change is better for all of us, especially iPhone users!

Last night, I called a meeting with our parts department, technician supervisor, sales team and customer service supervisor to discuss our iPhone screen repair services. The discussion went something like this: “For the last 2 months, our iPhone screen repair services have been our #1 seller! Which means we have been making our vendors VERY happy. What happens when a vendor is happy? They give us better prices!”

When we obtain better pricing, my first reaction is to always hand that savings off to the customer. But I called this meeting to test the culture of our staff and see if their mindset is the same as mine. This would obviously reflect poorly on me if I didn’t get the answer that I was hoping for. So I put it to a vote. Do we pass this savings onto our awesome customers or do we decide to change our policy and profit that extra savings? With a show of hands, 1,2,3,4,5,6 &7 – everyone voted to pass this savings onto our customers! I am very proud of our team. While I did have a little doubt in my mind of what would happen and I always have the ability to veto, they made the right choice and certainly have the Mission Repair culture in them!

Another Mission Repair price drop!

I say do away with the glass shards and embarrassing looks that your iPhone produces and let Mission:Repair install brand new life into your phone!

Cracked iPhone 5C Screen?

Hello M:R Nation -

If the answer to that question above is yes, than you have come to the right place! Over the last few months, Mission Repair has become your go to repair facility for the iPhone 5C! We have had the pleasure of repairing these for folks all over the USA and are happy to have formed many “customers for life” in the process!

Some view the iPhone 5C as the younger, cheaper, less popular sibling of the iPhone 5S. While it was announced at the same time, it doesn’t have the all metal design and the fancy fingerprint scanner. Sure, this judgment is easy to make if you have never held one of these in your hand! After using the iPhone 5C, you will quickly realize that the experience of using it is not better or worse than using an iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S, it’s just different.

However, something that remains the same is what you see below. I don’t care if you have an iPhone 3G, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S or anything in between. When it slips out of your hands and lands on its corner or flat on its face, you are likely going to be dealing with what the customer below dealt with.

Did you see how I used the word “dealt”? It’s past tense of the word “deal”. You see, with Mission Repair, there is no more need to just “deal” with your cracked screen. We will take your green, pink, blue, yellow, white or whatever color iPhone 5C that you own, remove the cracked mess that is a screen and replace it with a brand new screen. It is that simple!  There is no longer a need to power through a phone call because of broken glass…

Above is the result of our customer no longer dealing with the annoyance of holding their phone 2 inches away from their face or talking on speaker phone or receiving glass splinters trying to type in their pass code! This is simply a much better way to live! Owning something that doesn’t work correctly or needing an improvised method of use is one of my biggest pet peeves. If there is a possibility to make it work like it should, why not take the time to do so?

Ok, so have I convinced you to finally take care of that little problem? Great! Click here to get started: iPhone 5C Front Glass Screen Repair! After you choose your shipping and turnaround options, add to your care and let us take it from there! As always, call (866-638-8402) or email (sales@missionrepair.com) with any questions, comments or concerns!

Broken iPhone 5C screen? We repair that too!

Hello Again M:R Nation -

The iPhone 5C is awesome. Within a matter of days of its release, we had one in our hands with the privilege to repair it. This allowed us to do our R&D on this particular phone a lot earlier than we thought we would. So what does that mean? It means that we are able to announce the repair services a lot quicker than normal!

Today, we are excited to announce the iPhone 5C Front Glass Screen Repair service! I know, it sounds a little soon for someone to crack their screen, but unfortunately, its not :-(. We have had many folks request this service with breath holding breakage stories that we couldn’t do anything about until today!

To Repair Or Not Repair?

Hello M:R Nation – That is the question of the week. With every September, comes an Apple media event. With an Apple media event, comes newly released products and with newly released products comes that question… Should I repair this broken Smartphone screen? Some of you might be looking to switch from an Android or Windows phone, some of you might be limping along, for as long as you can, to get a glimpse of the new products before you make your decision. And some of you might be just like my friend John, his iPhone 5 is perfectly fine, but he just wants the newest product that Apple has to offer! For those of you that are saying that, this post might not be for you :-). So lets talk for a moment on what Apple is expected to release. We are anticipating two new iPhone products. The iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C.

The iPhone 5S should bring the following features:

  • No change to outer design
  • Revamped rear camera and dual -LED flash
  • 128GB internal capacity option
  • Biometric home button (fingerprint scanner)
  • Gold and Graphite backcase option
Tempting, but i'll wait one more year!

Tempting, but i’ll wait one more year!

The iPhone 5C should bring:

  • Lower cost to consumers
  • Plastic housing
  • Five color option (White, Black, Yellow, Pink and Green)
  • 4″ Retina display
  • Same functionality as iPhone 5S
So pretty!

So pretty!

So with those features in mind, the question becomes, can I live without the latest and greatest from Apple? My personal opinion is YES! If I was faced with the same dilemma, it is easy to see from the information provided, that Apple is not going to release a game changer tomorrow. We will not see  the same jump as we saw from the original iPhone to the iPhone 3G. Nor, will we see the same quality of jump that was the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4. Why is that? I believe as far as hardware goes, its going to be hard to beat what Apple already produces. Granted, we usually never see a true hardware redesign until after the “S” is released.

Alright, so I know my “OPINION” is not that convincing. but let me shed some light on the facts of repairing over replacing:

  • It is usually cheaper to repair your Smartphone, than replace (Consider the new 2 year agreement you are about to sign up for)
  • It’s green (Meaning you don’t have to contribute to a growing worldwide e-waste problem)
  • You don’t have to deal with the hassle of moving over all of your data over (I recently had to do this…not fun)
  • It most cases, you are supporting a local business

Ok, so if you are dead tired of your old iPhone 3GS or Samsung GS3 and are just ready for something new , let me make a case for you. Did you know that you could sell that old Smartphone? You can find many business that will buy your old device from you. You could also sell them yourself on eBay or Craigslist and Apple has even started their own trade in program so you can use that against the purchase of new products in their retail stores. In every case, you will make substantially more with a fully functioning Smartphone than a broken one. Just take a look at the example below:

Price with a broken Screen

Price with a broken Screen

Screen Shot 2013-09-09 at 3.53.00 PM

Price with a non-broken screen!

This is just one example where if you have your iPhone 5 repaired before you try to sell it, you can make an extra $40.00 – $50.00! Now, this is the very low end of what you can get for a used iPhone 5, but the same applies with craigslist, eBay or the slew of other trade-in programs out there.

So, I hope this sheds some light on why its a good thing to repair instead of completely replace your smartphone when an event like tomorrow is upon us. If you choose to repair and keep, repair and replace or repair and give away as a gift, the common denominator here is REPAIR! Don’t let that smartphone end up in the garbage or in your bottom drawer for years to come!

Cheers, Troy
