My book is complete! Almost.

March 11, 2013

Hi everyone, any published authors out there? Well there are none here – yet!

I don’t know if you remember, but I blogged several months ago (on July 18, 2012 to be exact!) about being asked to write a book for the Globe Pequot Press titled: How to Start a home-based Computer Repair Business.

My keyboard has been on fire for the last 8 months!

My keyboard has been on fire for the last 8 months!

Since July, I have been diligently working nights and weekends to get it done. In fact, after several “back and forth” edits and revisions with my editor, I received this email from her today:

———————————-
Ryan,

Awesome, thanks! Off to production it goes. I should have first pages for you in about three weeks!
———————————-

What does that mean for me? I have my nights and weekends back! For anyone that has ever written a book of any length (mine is about 70,000 words) I now have a huge understanding of the process and a deep respect for authors unlike ever before. This process is time consuming, tedious, and one must have an attention for detail. There are other parts of being an author that I didn’t really understand until I did it. In fact, I went back through the earlier parts of the manuscript and I had forgotten about some of the things that I wrote about early on. Yikes, where did the time go!

Well 8+ months later, a mild case of carpal tunnel and a new respect for writing, it’s complete. I was told that I’d see the first chapter in “print format” for approval in about 3 weeks before the printing press runs the thousands of copies for Amazon.com.

What’s in the book? Well, if you’re interested in owning your very own version of my company, Mission Repair, I tell you all the secrets and ways to get your business started and running to success. All you need to do is buy the book ;-)

Ok then, so a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Check this project off the list!

Take care, Ryan

Free Shipping on all Repairs at Mission Repair!

November 21, 2012

Ok, what’s going on here?

Well I’m out of my mind. I made the decision to offer FREE SHIPPING on all of our repairs. From iPods, iPhones, Tablets, Smartphones even computers- Mission Repair is now offering FREE SHIPPING on any repair performed!

Another Mission Repair first!

Here’s the catch: Well, there isn’t one. I tried to come up with something but this time it’s just simple as pie. Pumpkin pie!

Let’s run a scenario. Let’s say you have a cracked iPhone 4S. You visit our amazing iPhone Repair department and choose to have your iPhone 4S Screen repaired. You’ll see the word [FREE] next to the return shipping option before you checkout. When you choose this, we will send your repaired device back to you with NO SHIPPING CHARGE. It’s quite an amazing thing!

Not only that, you’ll get it back via FedEx which is trackable and insurable. Yes, there are other cheaper ways for us to get your device back to you…and it could take weeks, with no tracking capability, and no insurance, and no signature. Heck we’d be surprised if your item ever got back to you all under those circumstances.

We’re not going to take the risk. I’d rather pony up for the better FedEx service and make sure you get your device back in your hands, safe and sound. Is it coincidence that this is being announced the day before Thanksgiving, which is a day before BLACK FRIDAY and a couple days before CYBER MONDAY? No.

Beginning on Black Friday we spin up to enormous levels of repairs and I want to be the first to grant you the best service on the internet and also include FREE SHIPPING. No coupon required, but you do need to place an order and have us repair something, otherwise it’s tough to redeem this amazing deal ;-)

Have a great day, Ryan

The Mission Repair Deuce and a Half is a success!

November 8, 2012

Did you read my Veteran’s Day Blog from yesterday? In a nutshell, it was talking about how I was going to deliver our company Deuce and a Half (M35a2) up to Clear Creek Elementary school to help “theme out” their Veteran’s Day assembly that they are performing today. I dropped off the monster this morning and just got this picture in my email inbox:

What a cool thing for those kids to see. Apparently this is the entire 3rd grade out in front of the truck posing for my enjoyment. I will certainly have this picture blown up and hung up in the office, it’s just too cool!

Along with my blog from yesterday, I added a 20% coupon inside for any repair that we offer. It’s still valid and if you’re in need of an iPad repair, iPhone service or Galaxy SIII repair, just give us a shout and use that coupon!!! What is the coupon you ask? You have to read my blog from yesterday! (Hint, there’s a link in this blog to it).

Mission Repair introduces the MyRewards program! It’s just free money.

August 16, 2012

Hello everyone!

We announced our dealer service program earlier this week and we have dubbed the dealer hotline at the office the “bat phone” – we are toying with the idea that when it rings a spotlight lights up the sky with a huge “M:R” on it! We have a dedicated line for our dealers, schools and large repair programs to call for specialized service in our dealer department.

Just finalized today, we added our brand new MyRewards program to our dealer page. After I got it done, formatted and installed I realized that I needed to extend this to ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS moving forward. That’s right, every customer that makes a purchase on the Mission Repair website will earn MyRewards points!

This means that when you place an order with us and once we ship your product, we will automatically drop 10 reward points in your account for every dollar spent at Mission Repair!!

MyRewards – easy as clicking this “redeem now” button for free money!

What good is this you might ask? Well, if you ever need a repair again or want to buy a part or an accessory you can redeem your reward points toward a future purchase. It’s easy – all you have to do it click a button, you’re automatically signed up – every customer that registers on our site is a part of the program, and it’s free money.

So our dealers will really enjoy this program because the more they spend the more they save. . .but as I realized that we have so many repeat customers I couldn’t hide the MyRewards program from anyone.

It’s just one more amazing feature about using Mission Repair. We’re the Intelligent Choice!

Take care, Ryan

The key to success!

August 8, 2012

Hello everyone, here’s a pic of Kim (in sales) entering our Service Lab:

Notice that she’s holding a key card with a smile? We just had our new security system installed and there’s a reason that I’m blogging about it.

I want all of my customers to know that when you use Mission Repair, we are doing everything we can to make sure that your device (and data) are safe. We have a very secure building with night-vision cameras, state of the art security system, time lock solid-core security doors, a key-card entry system (with a sensor on every door – except for the bathrooms!) and even a locked secure cage that keeps your device secure in the event that it needs to spend the night at our service lab. I’ve also got a few other goodies installed that keep me comfortable when we’re away, I’ll keep these surprises to myself ;-) We can even track the movements of our employees within the business to see who is where at all times. Is it “Big Brother Watching”? No. It’s the smart thing to do and it keeps us all accountable!

Why do we do all of this? It’s for peace of mind. We’ve never had to deal with a burglary or break in at our repair center (KNOCK ON WOOD!) and our customers like knowing that we’re not just some fancy website without the operations to back up our business. Keeping our customer units safe and secure is a top priority while we have possession, period.

It’s one more Reason to trust Mission Repair with your broken iPad or MacBook Repair. We’re the Intelligent Choice.

Take care, Ryan
