Remember our Superbowl ads in 2012? Just wait to see the new ones in 2013!!

January 8, 2013

Hello everyone,

It’s getting close the the big day – Superbowl Sunday on February 3rd, 2013. It’s a big day because of course we are going to be able to watch the 2 best teams in Football face off in what looks like is going to be a spectacular matchup. As the playoffs continue, its fun to watch these amazing teams square up. . .and there were some fantastic stories this year with rookie quarterbacks and retiring veterans. And no Chiefs.

It’s also a big day because we at Mission Repair have signed up for another 2 commercials that will air in the Superbowl at halftime! Yes we are currently in production finalizing our new 2-part commercial that will air at halftime during this years 2013 SuperBowl and they are going to be amazing! We have really stepped up our game on this one, no pun intended.

We are excited and we’ve got a huge Superbowl party scheduled at the Arter house. It’ll be a fun day, but more likely a stressful/exciting day as the game develops and the commercials land on our TV screen. As a business owner, there’s a major point of pride during the game and I’m excited to bring another piece of entertainment to you!

Did you miss our 2012 Superbowl commercials? Watch them here!

Is your team still in the Superbowl running?

Have a great day, Ryan

The Weather Outside Is Frightful!

December 20, 2012

Hello M:R Nation -

If you are anywhere close to Kansas City, I know you are as cold as I am. We were subject to the massive winter storm that rolled through the midwest. Granted, we only received the tail end of the storm, but it was enough to knock out the power on our street for hours and my iPhone was the only I could navigate through our building.

No Day, Like A Snow Day!

No Day, Like A Snow Day!

Yes, you heard me correctly, HOURS! Now, power did return and things got to flowing like usual here at Mission:Repair. We were able to still meet our goals and it ended up a fairly great day. This doesn’t mean we don’t feel bad about the time that we missed. So to make up for it, I am going to offer a speical coupon for a whopping 15% off! This code will be valid until Sunday and will be for your entire order! Use coupon code: snowday12 for a little extra savings and please forgive our tardiness this morning.

p.s – Reminder: just because you have a car with AWD capabilities, doesn’t mean that the brakes work any better than a normal car… I re-learned that the hard way today.

Cheers, Troy

The buildout continues at Mission Repair.

September 18, 2012

Hello everyone, I’ve been scrambling to keep up with these days that are flying by.

Last night my crew finished up adding another 13 new tech stations that we are staffing for as we speak. The room is ready – chairs, tools, phones and computers are on order. We will have this new capability rocking by the end of the month.

Doesn’t look like much now, but it will be a well-oiled machine in a few short weeks.

What does 13 new positions equate to? That’s a lot of mouths to feed ;-) It’s approximately 200 additional units per day down the production lines- that’s 200 more units received, pretested and barcoded, disassembled, reassembled with a new part, quality controlled, cleaned, packed and shipped. That’s a heck of a lot of iPhone fixes! It’s also 13 more jobs that we’re bringing to the Kansas City area and if you’ll looking, please apply here.

Speaking of “shipped” – we have FedEx stretched out to come at 7:00pm so we are able to ship later than ever before which means that we are sliding our average repair time up – and most of our units are getting repaired the same day that we get them which is over delivering on our 24 hour turnaround time and that’s a good thing!!!

So I can take a short break for now, clean up the saw dust and get back to business. You’ll be hearing more from me on the blog and I have an awesome coupon code coming tomorrow. Talk to you again on Wednesday!

Best, Ryan

Another Labor Day weekend in the books!

September 4, 2012

Good morning everyone, we’ve got our working caps back on and we’re back in the groove here at Mission Repair. We all took a much needed day off yesterday but that always puts us in a bind because we’ve got to speed up production to make up for lost time. Sometimes I wonder if it makes sense to ever actually take a day off!

How was your weekend? I’m going to share a personal tidbit which may or may not interest you. . .but I adopted another dog this weekend. Shadow came home to us on Friday night, so it’s been a pretty fun weekend nevertheless ;-)

Shadow is a rescued dog from an abusing family. In fact, the official report is that he was beaten with logging chains for a year until someone finally turned in his previous owner. He was on the docket to be destroyed. . .until a local German Shepherd Rescue team swooped in and brought him in. He’s from Pennsylvania, moved to a foster home for a month, then moved again to our house here in Kansas.

We’re going to fix him up and give him a loving home. This guy is super smart and is a soldier – he’s tough as nails but is a lovable goof ball at the same time. This entire weekend he stayed right next to me and I’ve taught him to “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and to “shake” on demand. Once I get him to repair an iPhone, I’ll know he’s something special.

Actually he is something special and I feel great being able to give him a good home. If you’d like to learn more about the rescue team that saved Shadow or if you’re interested in helping out, check out their website here. Careful, you may come home with a new puppy ;-)

OK I’m going to check in with our sales department and I’ll be back soon with more good Mission Repair information!

Take care, Ryan

So it’s graduation time, and time for a Mission Repair COUPON!!

May 15, 2012

Hello everyone and good afternoon!

We are at it again. . .and I’ve got graduation on the mind! My daughter Tayler is graduationg from High School this year. WOW. What can I say other than I am in complete and total shock about how my time with her has flown by! It seems just like yesterday I was a young guy living in Hawaii (that’s a whole story altogether) and I had my first child at the Maui Medical Center in Wailuku. I remember that I went to McDonalds for lunch (#3 meal with a coke), the nurses name (Becky), and even the first words that came out of the doctors mouth after she was born: “Wow, she has red hair!”.

Talking about all of this is making me a little teary eyed because this weekend I’ll be watching her walk down the aisle and receiving her diploma from High School. She’s also done something that I could never do, and that she is receiving honors with a 4.0 grade point average all the way through. I’m super impressed!

Well, I’m in for a few more tears of joy. . .as I would expect. This just leaves my son, Casey who is going to be a sophomore next year – so as a parent I’m feeling pretty accomplished!

To celebrate all of those grads out there – the class of 2012 – I’m issuing a coupon for anyone to use. It will give you 12% off your entire order, all you need to do is enter the coupon code “GRADS” when checking out online! This coupon is good all the way through 5/25/12 but don’t delay. Think about it, does your grad need an iPhone repair? How about a new iPod battery? Are they using a cracked macbook? Get it fixed as a gift!

Have a great day, Ryan

P.S. Congratulations to all of the “graduating” parents this year. I’ll be thinking about you on Saturday night!
