Brownie + Peanut Butter Cup + Cookie = The End Of My Day

May 9, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

We have a great people employed at Mission Repair. One person in particular goes by the name of Jackie. She is able to light up every room that she walks into. But she has a dark side. I don’t know how she discovered that my kryptonite was sweet food, but she has effectively ended my work day. This morning, she brought in a pan that consisted of my 3 favorite things. Brownies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and cookies.

Warning: Approach With Extreme Caution!

When I walked by this pan, I had no chance of denying myself of its goodness. It had me at hello…As you can see, this post has nothing to do with a Macbook, iPad or Samsung Galaxy S III. Its just a simple reminder to never trust your co-workers ;-)

p.s. Email me at troy@missionrepair.com if you are interested in this recipe. I’ll try to pry it from her hands!

Should I Repair My Cracked iPad 2 Glass?

April 19, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

The iPad 2 remains to be one our top sellers here at Mission Repair. We actually have a dedicated team of iPad 2 repair technicians that eat, sleep and breath the iPad 2. This is the same team that we have introduced our lovely iPad Mini Glass service to in recent days. They welcome the challenge of the never ending flow of iPad 2 and now iPad Mini repairs.

Why are there so many iPad 2 repairs? I think the question should actually be: Why are there still so many iPad 2s in general? The answer is simple…There is no “I gotta have it” difference between the iPad  2 and it’s two successors. When my 4 year old son cracked the screen on “his” iPad 2, I seriously considered buying “The New iPad”. After going to the Apple store and taking it for a test drive, I really didn’t notice a difference. In fact, there was no difference at all. Now I understand the speed increases generated by the successors, but it was and is not enough of a difference for me to replace the whole thing. So I decided to go the repair route.

Welcome Our New Billboard Star!

Welcome Our New Billboard Star!

I find that many people go through the same natural progression as I did when deciding to fix their iPad. We receive calls on a daily basis of people asking “Is it worth repairing my iPad 2″ and say emphatically, YES! It will cost you $129.00 to repair your iPad 2 with Mission Repair. This is apposed to replacing the whole iPad which will at least cost you $499! You get to keep your data, settings and bedazzled back casing that you so covet ;-) . So, to sum it up… I think we see so many iPad 2 repairs because people are just smart. They have taken to Mission Repairs “Repair Don’t Replace” motto and are never looking back!

With that, I would love to announce the new star of our Mission Repair 2013 billboard…The iPad 2!… or is it “The New iPad” ?…Maybe the “iPad With Retina Display”? I will let you try to come up with that answer on your own.

Is That An iPad Stuck In Your Bumper?

April 12, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

I recently washed my wife’s car before heading out on a road trip and this happened to be the worst thing I could of done.  Once we arrived to our destination, it was dirtier than ever before! Bugs just seem to be attracted to a clean car. I now understand this rule in life and will never make this mistake again.

Now, imagine going out for a drive and returning home with an iPad sticking out of your bumper! Of course, that sounds ludicrous. That could never happen! Well… take a look at the picture below and reconsider everything that you thought was possible in life.

iPad stuck in bumper

This story is all over the internet today and I can’t resist retelling it. In short, a woman in Georgia went out to run a few errands when she noticed an item flying towards her car. She heard nothing hit and thought nothing of it. When she arrived home, not thinking there was a remote possibility of an iPad sticking out of her bumper, she parked her car and went inside as any normal human being would. Only when her father arrived did she find out where the flying object landed.

This is a pretty surprising location for this iPad to land but it’s not uncommon for an iPad to be left on a car and launched when the car takes off. It just like the old “Leave the coffee on top of the car and drive away” scene that you see in movies, TV and real life. This just happens to be a bit more expensive than that cup of Starbucks. We hear of this accident at least once a month.

Giving the rarity and epic landing of this iPad, I would love to be involved in helping that iPad owner get their beloved device back into shape. If you are out there iPad owner, shoot me an email at Troy@missionrepair.com and let me see what I can do for you!

Cheers, Troy

Rain, Rain Go Away. Well, at least the grass is greening up!

April 10, 2013

Hello everyone, we’re in the middle of a Spring rain here at Mission Repair – it’s really very grey and dreary out…the kind of day that you might want to curl up with a good book next to the fireplace and hunker down. While that sounds good, we don’t have the luxury here at Mission Repair to take the day off – we received a record number of orders in house yesterday and today, which means we are on full-alert-all-hands-on-deck mode!

Failure is not an option.

rain

We’ve made it through our typically slow month of February, ramped up in March (yeah March Madness!) and the beginning of April certainly initiates the busy season here at Mission Repair. It’s that time of year again.

What’s sparked so many new customer orders besides the typical “busy season” launch? Our exclusive iPad Mini Glass Repair service has taken the market by storm. Our blog is getting more readers than ever and our social network sites are really blowing up too – we now have over 6,000 likes on Facebook, that’s exciting!

What can our customers expect from this news? Well firstly we are hiring immediately for new technician positions and customer service representatives, which brings our customers new levels of service and expectations. We are also launching a brand new Nationwide program that is being developed as we speak. While I can’t say much about it yet; it promises to be the first of it’s kind and will bring a new level of service to your doorstep that has never been attempted by any company in our industry before. I’ll be launching this new program within the next couple of months – I am so excited about it that I want to share the news now…but we’ll wait until it’s official launch.

Until then, stay indoors if you’re in this rain like we are and stay safe.

Best, Ryan
