Should I Repair My Cracked iPad 2 Glass?

April 19, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

The iPad 2 remains to be one our top sellers here at Mission Repair. We actually have a dedicated team of iPad 2 repair technicians that eat, sleep and breath the iPad 2. This is the same team that we have introduced our lovely iPad Mini Glass service to in recent days. They welcome the challenge of the never ending flow of iPad 2 and now iPad Mini repairs.

Why are there so many iPad 2 repairs? I think the question should actually be: Why are there still so many iPad 2s in general? The answer is simple…There is no “I gotta have it” difference between the iPad  2 and it’s two successors. When my 4 year old son cracked the screen on “his” iPad 2, I seriously considered buying “The New iPad”. After going to the Apple store and taking it for a test drive, I really didn’t notice a difference. In fact, there was no difference at all. Now I understand the speed increases generated by the successors, but it was and is not enough of a difference for me to replace the whole thing. So I decided to go the repair route.

Welcome Our New Billboard Star!

Welcome Our New Billboard Star!

I find that many people go through the same natural progression as I did when deciding to fix their iPad. We receive calls on a daily basis of people asking “Is it worth repairing my iPad 2″ and say emphatically, YES! It will cost you $129.00 to repair your iPad 2 with Mission Repair. This is apposed to replacing the whole iPad which will at least cost you $499! You get to keep your data, settings and bedazzled back casing that you so covet ;-) . So, to sum it up… I think we see so many iPad 2 repairs because people are just smart. They have taken to Mission Repairs “Repair Don’t Replace” motto and are never looking back!

With that, I would love to announce the new star of our Mission Repair 2013 billboard…The iPad 2!… or is it “The New iPad” ?…Maybe the “iPad With Retina Display”? I will let you try to come up with that answer on your own.

Is That An iPad Stuck In Your Bumper?

April 12, 2013

Hello M:R Nation -

I recently washed my wife’s car before heading out on a road trip and this happened to be the worst thing I could of done.  Once we arrived to our destination, it was dirtier than ever before! Bugs just seem to be attracted to a clean car. I now understand this rule in life and will never make this mistake again.

Now, imagine going out for a drive and returning home with an iPad sticking out of your bumper! Of course, that sounds ludicrous. That could never happen! Well… take a look at the picture below and reconsider everything that you thought was possible in life.

iPad stuck in bumper

This story is all over the internet today and I can’t resist retelling it. In short, a woman in Georgia went out to run a few errands when she noticed an item flying towards her car. She heard nothing hit and thought nothing of it. When she arrived home, not thinking there was a remote possibility of an iPad sticking out of her bumper, she parked her car and went inside as any normal human being would. Only when her father arrived did she find out where the flying object landed.

This is a pretty surprising location for this iPad to land but it’s not uncommon for an iPad to be left on a car and launched when the car takes off. It just like the old “Leave the coffee on top of the car and drive away” scene that you see in movies, TV and real life. This just happens to be a bit more expensive than that cup of Starbucks. We hear of this accident at least once a month.

Giving the rarity and epic landing of this iPad, I would love to be involved in helping that iPad owner get their beloved device back into shape. If you are out there iPad owner, shoot me an email at Troy@missionrepair.com and let me see what I can do for you!

Cheers, Troy

iPad glass repair special blowout. Want to see something that will shock you?

February 28, 2013

Hello folks,

We are in the middle of a serious “price slashing” at Mission Repair. We just procured a huge quantity of iPad glass for the Original iPad, the iPad 2, the New iPad (iPad 3) and the iPad with Retina display…and we’re passing the savings onto you.

For example, we are now repairing the original iPad with cracked glass (FULL SERVICE!) for just $129 installed! That parts, labor, warranty and the Mission Repair TRIPLE CHECK guarantee.

This is the LOWEST price on the Internet. Just so you know, some of our competition will see this price drop and then try to match us – but it’s just not that easy when it comes to duplicating the value that each customer receives from Mission Repair. We know that price plays a big role in the decision making process when choosing a repair center, but when you use Mission Repair, you’ll also get (at no additional charge):

  • 24 hour turnaround. However in most cases, it’ll be repaired and shipped back the same day it’s received.
  • 1 year manufacturers warranty on the part and labor.
  • Our exclusive GOT REPAIR benefit, that means if you ever crack or damage your glass again, just call us and we will fix it again under our amazing program!
  • FREE shipping back to your doorstep. This isn’t just “toss it in the mail” shipping either. It’s FedEx shipping that insured and will also require a signature upon arrival so your repaired device isn’t going to get lost or stolen!
  • Triple check Quality Control. Your device will be pre-tested before repair, repaired and tested, then tested for Quality Assurance before being sent back to you. That’s our TRIPLE CHECK guarantee that it’ll be sent out repaired and repaired correctly!
  • Don’t forget that Mission Repair has been awarded the Top Ten Reviews GOLD AWARD and AWARD for EXCELLENCE as the best iPhone repair website on the Internet. We are in the business of repair and we are here to take care of our customers. We are excited about this deal and happy to bring you the best pricing and value for your money on the Internet. It brings a smile to my face, and that’s a good thing. I want to bring a smile to yours as well ;-)

Also, if you’d like us to send you a box to pickup your iPad, that’s not a problem! Check out a quick movie about our packaging here:

Have a great Thursday afternoon everyone. Let us know if you have any questions – customer service representatives are standing by! 866-638-8402.

Hello there from Kansas City, we are about to get the storm of the year. Plus a coupon inside!

    February 19, 2013

    Hello everyone,

We are preparing for the worst. Starting tomorrow evening, the weather forecast calls for blizzard conditions and a lot of snow- between 5 and 15 inches around the Kansas City area. I think that we here at Mission Repair will be on the lower end of the snowfall, but it still makes for a heck of a commute and a mess on the streets.

We haven’t had much snow lately, in fact, I rode my motorcycle on Sunday, because it was about 60 degrees out. Today on the other hand, it’s going to be a high of 35 degrees and my feet are actually cold as I sit here at my desk. I think I’ll wear my wool socks tomorrow and Thursday!

Don't venture out to get your phone or computer repaired Thursday - just call us and we'll have it picked up from you!

Don’t venture out to get your iPhone repaired Thursday – just call us and we’ll have it picked up from you!

Never fear- Mission Repair will be open for business as usual, but I would anticipate that our walk-in traffic will be lighter than normal tomorrow afternoon and Thursday. If you’re in need of an iPhone or iPad repair, never fear, we will still take care of you.

In fact, I encourage you to NOT drive in the impending mess. Please let us have your device picked up from your location, even if you’re in the Kansas City area, and leave the driving to FedEx. They will take care of things while the snow is falling. We do charge a small fee for this service, but I’ll also introduce a coupon that will offset the costs as much as possible.

Just use coupon code “blizzard” now until Sunday evening (that’s February 19 – February 24, 2013) when you checkout online and you’ll receive 15% off of your entire order, even on shipping. This way, if you’re in the path of the storm, you can stay put and relax. We’ll handle your repair while you’re snuggling by the fire!

If you not in the path of the blizzard, that’s OK; you can use the coupon too.

    Have a great week!!

The Kindle Fire Is Gaining Momentum!

    January 10, 2013

    Hello M:R  Nation -

I recently read an article that talked about web usage per tablet. Something interesting came out of that article. The Kindle Fire is out there in droves! With the iPad maintaining the highest percentage of users at 78.86%, this is actually a decrease for them. 7.14% to be exact.

The Kindle Fire is showing up as a massive 7.51% which is actually a very large number considering the ever so popular Samsung Tablets are only at 4.39%. What has caused this? Some say it has to do with increasing sales of the Kindle Fire, others say that it might just be that a good amount of iPad users are also iPhone 5 users which just happened to soar to a 8.27% usage share. Keep in mind, we are talking millions and millions of units here, so while these %’s seem small, it actually reflects a huge number.

Either way, this has a large impact here at Mission Repair. The more these devices are use, the more support our customers need. We love to be the company offering this support on the very wide range of technology that is out on the market today.  so if you find yourself in need of this kind of support, give us a shout at 866-638-8402 or email at support@missionrepair.com

    Cheers, Troy
