Cracked glass on your MacBook Unibody?

March 5, 2009

Yup, they are flowing in. Here’s what they look like:

Cracked glass, not good!

But once we are done with the repair, it looks like this:

New Glass installed, it's all good!

We are ramping up our marketing on this particular repair as we are getting a ton of requests for it. It appears that the glass breakage is a serious issue and we’re on top of it. Lower Prices on 3G iPhone Digitizers and 13″ MacBook LCD Screens!

March 5, 2009

Hello all-

Just getting my last minutes plans together for our big California trip to Apple, Inc. in Cupertino tomorrow so it’s pretty hectic around here at the Mission Repair Base. We’re scrambling to get our last minute thoughts together. Yes, I remembered to check in online for our Southwest flights. Don’t want to be stuck in the “C” group!

Before Kyle and I leave, I lowered the prices on a couple of key items:

iPhone 3G Digitizer Glass Repair Kits now only $59! This includes the correct adhesive strips for a professional installation and a 1 year warranty.

13″ MacBook LCD Screen Panels have also seen a price drop down to $139! This is an aggressive price point and they also come with a 1 year warranty.

In both cases, you get brand new parts and these are perfect for the tech-savvy customer that wants to perform these repairs themselves- it’s a great way to save even more cash by using the professionals at Mission Repair.

Thanks everyone, I’ll be back tomorrow evening with some pics and blogs from Apple’s campus.

Take care, Ryan

Private Pilot Training 101!

March 3, 2009

Well, it’s been a dream of mine for about 18 years, and I’m finally doing it! I’m taking lessons to get my Private Pilot’s license and it’s going very well! I kinda feel like I was “built” for flying, or more specifically, piloting an airplane. I just feel like I “get it” and it’s coming very naturally at this point, but I do have an instructor in the right seat so that gives me a little bit of comfort!

My first flight!

My first flight!

Pretty soon, it’ll be PIC Ryan (Pilot in Charge Ryan for you greenhorns out there) ;-)

Speaking of flying, my partner Kyle and I will be flying out of the Kansas City area on Friday morning to visit the mothership in Cupertino. Yes, we’re heading out for a couple of meetings at Apple, Inc. and I promise I’ll get a picture of us at Caffe Macs having a bite to eat. This is an exciting weekend for us and we hope to have a prosperous trip. I’m even going to meet a couple of long-time friends (you know- the guys you knew since you were 5 years old). We have a couple of nights to catch up with them as we work on some business deals. I’ll be blogging from California so check back with us to see what’s happening at Apple. (Because I’m gonna ask!)

Talk to you soon, Ryan

We’re on 95.7 the Vibe in Kansas City!

March 2, 2009

Hey all, I know that my blog is a lot about business. . .as it should be! This blog (and our business) are a couple of my most favorite things in life ;-) I get a substantial personal reward from seeing our business grow and we are passionate about what we do for a living. These are hard economic times and we’re grateful to have you as a blog reader. I truly mean that!

In the interest of growing Mission Repair, we’ve signed up as an advertiser on 95.7 the Vibe and 105.1 Jack-FM here in Kansas City. These are a couple of popular radio stations here in our area and we’re glad to have the opportunity to run some ads. It’s just one step before you’re gonna see us on TV! I feel a Superbowl ad coming soon (we’ll see).

You can hear us on their live streaming internet feeds here:

105.1 Jack-FM

We have it flowing through our sound system here at the office- which is another topic altogether. Here’s a quick pic of our built-in sound system and we have speakers in every crevice in the ceiling. I know that it’s tough to see and appreciate it, come on down and experience it for yourself, it’s just plain cool!

It makes for a relaxing and fun work environment here at Mission Repair. . .OK, gotta run, keep an ear out for our spots, they are great!

Take care,
Ryan
