New MacBook Keyboard Repair Service at Mission Repair!

December 12, 2008

Hello everyone-

Another week flew by. . .I can’t believe it. . .I need to start my Christmas shopping. . .

Well, I did get out and start, but I ended up with a new pair of running shoes and some workout gear. I guess I’m all taken care of! Here’s my Christmas list from the kids: Jordyn wants CASH (does anyone know where I can get some cash on sale??) – Tayler is still undecided (she says I dunno, maybe some jeans?) – Casey, he’s got a list of 29 items, but of course first is “A New iPhone”. Um, yeah right. I’m not giving my 6th grader an iPhone. Sorry!

So I’m kind of in a pinch. I have to get creative. I MUST spend some time on this tonight. Sheesh. Wish me luck-

Here at Mission Repair, we have a new service launched (you’re probably reading it in the online news today) about our Flat-Rate MacBook KeyBoard service. This is cool. We’ve received many units in here with liquid spills. From honey to coffee, to apple juice (get it, Apple Juice!) and these spills are causing keys to stick, keys to not work, or funky trackpad issues.

Our new service is really a palmrest/keyboard replacement service- when we get your failing unit in our shop, we’ll replace the entire palmrest/keyboard assembly. This fixes the keyboard and in many cases customers have broken or cracked palmrests so this get fixed as well. The entire process is done quickly and efficiently, and the repair comes with a 1 year warranty. Just don’t drop a cola on it again!

The new MacBook Keyboard and Palmrest Service is $189, parts and labor included.

Wrestling Meets Start this Weekend!

December 8, 2008

Hello there everyone-

It’s now Monday afternoon, and we’re finished shipping orders for the day here at Mission Repair. I’m physically exhausted. . .

Speaking of exhausted, my son Casey, has his first wrestling match of the season this weekend. If you’ve ever been a wrestler or if you have a child that wrestles, you’ll know what I mean when I say “Organized Chaos”!

These wrestling meets are precisely that. There are hundreds of kids and parents jammed into some local school gym crowding the floor with lawn chairs and coolers. Wrestling matches are a different breed of spectator sport and certainly is a “different” type of sport altogether. Casey and I will likely arrive at the gym at 6:00am and not leave until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Casey will end up wrestling 3-5 times throughout the day with spans of several hours in between.

We’ll get there early, have him weigh in, and then immediately claim a spot in the gym. Locate his schedule, then decide on when and where he needs to be for his first match. As you know if you have been in the sport, it’s your responsibility to be at your match ahead of schedule or forfeit. With 16 mats rotating and can get overwhelming coupled with the 500 people yelling over one another it an be confusing and nerve wracking! Of course Casey has to wrestle and of course he wants to win, so these days become physically and emotionally draining for the both of us. . .so why do it?

Wresting brings out the best in him and he and I really bond on these days. I am his support, and he’s my hero. We laugh, cry and are both “in the match” when he goes out. It makes my heart ache when he loses and I want to just put him on my shoulders when he wins. It’s the unmatched “different” style of sport that draws us both. And he’s pretty good, which doesn’t hurt!

So he’s got 3 more full practices this week and then we’re off to compete. I’ll keep you posted, I have to run and get him ready for the “no pain no gain” workout he has tonight!

Talk to you later, I’ll get back to some business posts here shortly!

iPhone 3G Digitizer and Glass Kits with installation adhesive strips in stock!

December 5, 2008

Hello all, it’s Friday afternoon already? No time no bloggy.

I just fired off a couple of press releases announcing our December Sale Pricing on MacBook LCD Screen Repairs, 15″ MacBook Pro LCD Screen Repairs, and 17″ MacBook Pro Screen Repairs all discounted through December! Prices will change back to normal in 2009!

And on another popular front, we’re selling the daylights out of our 3G iPhone Digitizer/Glass Replacement kits. What makes our kits so special is that we have the adhesive strips that are professionally cut to make the installation of a new glass panel easy and clean. Don’t install a new glass panel with glue! It can seep into your home button and then you’re in big trouble. Trust me, the home buttons are very hard to get a hold of.

Check them out, tell your friend about us (you know, the guy that broke his iPhone glass) and we’ll save the day.

OK, the Christmas parties are starting tonight, and I think that I’m booked through the end of the year. Our company Christmas party is coming up too and we’re getting excited. Remember, yesterday marked “3 weeks till Christmas” so get to the store now and get your shopping done!

Take care, have a great weekend! Ryan
